Six Cobbers reached double figures in scoring as Concordia beat the Scots 99-70 Saturday afternoon in Moorhead. Concordia knocked down 9-of-14 three-point shots and for the day shot 66% from the floor.
The Scots were led by
Sam Marshall (Sr., Sun Prairie, Wis.), who provided the team with a season-high 24 points, and
Dylan Kilgour (Fy., La Crescenta, Calif. / Crescenta Valley) with 16 points and three assists. Kilgour was 3-for-5 from behind the arc.
Justin Wasik (Jr., Chicago, Ill. / Maine South) chipped in with nine points.
Concordia was paced by Aaron Lindahl with 21 points on an 8-for-9 shooting effort. The Cobbers maintain their third-place position in the MIAC standings at 4-2.
Even though the Scots shot 48% in the first half, the Cobbers led 46-36 at the break, going a perfect 4-for-4 on treys.
Macalester, 3-7 overall and 0-5 in the MIAC, travels to St. Peter on Monday (Jan. 7) to take on Gustavus Adolphus.
