Complete Mac / Ole Time Trial results

The Scots opened the season by traveling to Northfield to take on St. Olaf in a dual meet.   St. Olaf, the top-ranked team in the Central Region and No. 12-ranked squad in the NCAA Division III, posted a perfect score of 15 by sweeping the top five spots in the race.

Rachel Gunsalus (Sr., Los Gatos, Calif. / St. Francis) and Becky Kane (Jr., Miladore, Wis. / Auburndale) led the way for Macalester.  Gunsalus finished the 4-kilometer time trial in 16:01.4 to place seventh out of 72 runners and Kane was just behind her in eight with a 16:02.2 clocking.

Macalester's No. 3 runner was Lucy Andrews (Jr., Plymouth, Minn. / Wayzata), who placed 15th (16:26.2).  Anna French (Sr., Omaha, Neb. / Central) was 19th (15:41.9) and Tess Carley (Sr., Cumberland, Me. / Greely) finished 24th (16:59.9).

The season's first multiple-team met is next Saturday (Sept. 8) as the Scots race in the St. John's Invitational in Collegeville.
