Box Score Concordia took command with a 51-31 halftime lead by shooting 70% in the period, and went on to beat Macalester 81-59 in Moorhead.

The Scots began the second half with a 15-7 run to cut the deficit to 12 points at 58-46 with 13:53 to play, but the Cobbers pulled away to complete their seasonal sweep over Macalester.

Lamont Diggs (So., Fridley, Minn) made five of his eight field goal attempts and led Mac with 12 points to go along with six rebounds.  Sam Marshall (Jr., Sun Prairie, Wis.) helped the cause with 10 points and five assists.

Pierce Peters (Jr., Glenwood, Minn. / Minnewaska Area) scored nine points and Justin Wasik (So., Park Ridge, Ill. / Maine South) added eight.

Brandon Fisher led five Cobbers in double figures with 21 points and Dewon McKenzie scored 15 of his 19 points in the first half and also produced four assists and three steals.

Concordia improves to 6-10 on the season and 4-7 in MIAC play, while Macalester is 1-14 overall, 1-9 in the conference.

Macalester plays its third straight MIAC road game Saturday (Jan. 21) when it takes on the Hamline Pipers.
