Macalester vs. St. Olaf statistics

St. Olaf shot 60% on the day and went on to defeat Macalester 93-64 Saturday in Northfield as the Oles chalk up their fifth win in a row.

The Oles improve to 15-6 overall and 10-6 in the MIAC, while the Scots fall to 2-18 overall, 2-13 in MIAC play.

Pierce Peters (So., Glenwood, Minn. / Minnewaska Area) led Macalester is scoring for the 14th time this season, finishing with 17 points. Chris Quinn (Fy., Medford, Mass. / Beaver Country Day) scored a season-high15 points and Kyle Hamblett (Sr., Paris, France / American School of Paris) contributed 12 points and five assists.

The Scots shot well themselves, going 50% (including 60% on threes), but St. Olaf had a 17-8 turnover advantage. 

St. Olaf went 38-for-63 from the field and 9-for-17 on three-pointers, and was paced by Bobby Fong and Stu Neville with 19 points each. Fong nailed 4-of-5 from outside the arc and Neville also grabbed 10 rebounds.

The Scots return to the court Wednesday (Feb. 9) when they play host to St. John's at 7:30 p.m.
