Macalester vs. Hamline statistics

Hamline knocked down 15-of-29 tries from three-point territory, scoring 54 points and shooting 57% in each half, to topple visiting Macalester 108-73. The Pipers win their fifth in a row and hold on to third place in the MIAC standings.

Three Scots reached double digits in scoring. Pierce Peters (So., Glenwood, Minn. / Minnewaska Area) led the way with 18 pionts to go along with six rebounds and three assists. Justin Wasik (Fy., Park Ridge, Ill. / Maine South) pumped in 16 points and Chris Quinn (Fy., Medford, Mass. / Beaver Country Day) had 15 points and four assists.

Hamline had five players in double figures, led by Sam Gullickson with 15 points.  Hamline led 27-22 at the 8:35 mark of the first half before starting a 20-4 run to go up 47-26 at 3:26. The Pipers were on top 54-36 at the break.

Macalester returns to action Monday (Feb . 14) at Augsburg.
