Macalester vs. Gustavus statistics

Gustavus jumped to a 33-21 halftime lead and shot 52% for the game, defeating Macalester 73-52 in St. Peter. The Gusties improve to 4-3 overall and 3-1 in the MIAC, while Macalester drops to 1-6 on the season, 1-3 in the MIAC.

The Scots received a strong all-around performance by Majra Mucic (Sr., Zenica, Bosnia / St. Louis Park – Minn.), who finished with 17 points, a career-best 14 rebounds, five steals, four assists and two blocked shots. Mucic has two straight double-doubles and has grabbed double-digit rebounds in six of seven games.

Shannon Rene (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Memorial) and Taylor Pike (Fy., Ashland, Neb. / Ashland-Greenwood) added eight points apiece. Each canned a couple three-pointers on the night.

Molly Geske finished with 20 points to pace the Gusties. Ava Perry added 11 points and Colleen Ruane collected four steals.

Macalester plays host to Augsburg Saturday (Dec. 11) at 1 p.m.
