Gusties get easy win over Macalester

Macalester vs. Gustavus statistics

Gustavus Adolphus racked up 13 unanswered points midway through the first half to open up a 20-6 advantage and shot 67% in the second half to pull away for an easy 91-37 MIAC triumph over Macalester in St. Peter. The Gusties shot 57% on the night, compared to 34% for the Scots. They enjoyed a 37-4 lead in points off turnovers.

Colin Keeley (So., Kildeer, Ill. / Stevenson) scored nine points and pulled down six rebounds to lead the way for the Scots. Adding seven points apiece off the bench were James Murrey (Jr., Western Springs, Ill. / Lyons Township) and David Lewin (Sr., Wayland, Mass.).

Tyler Gray and Seth Anderson tallied 10 points apiece off the bench to pace the Gusties.

The Scots will try to put this game behind them and get ready for an MIAC home tilt Wednesday (Jan. 7) against Concordia-Moorhead at 7:45 p.m.
