Complete Macalester vs. St. Mary's results

St. Mary's gained a 308-333 win over the Scots Friday in Hastings in the 2007 season-opener for the young Macalester team.

Nick Santrach (Fy., Coon Rapids, Minn.) tied for runner-up honors with a 78 on the par-72 Hastings Country Club course. He and SMU's Rob Klein were a full nine strokes back of medalist Jesse Polk of SMU. This was Santrach's first collegiate competition.

Daniel Kirwin (So., Coloardo Springs, Colo. / Yokohama International) and Jonathon Khil (Fy., Punahou, Hi. / Punahou School) tied for the No. 2 position in the Mac lineup, each posting a sixth-place score of 83.

The Scots play next week (Sept. 9-10) at the Augsburg Invitational. They'll play Sunday at Crow River in Hutchinson and Monday at Chaska Town Course.
