Two-time all-conference forward Tom Conboy (Sr., Chanhassen, Minn. / Minnetonka) led Macalester to a pair of two-point MIAC wins over St. Mary's and St. Thomas by averaging 28.5 points and 8.0 rebounds a game and shooting 56% from the floor as the Scots took over sole possession of first place in the MIAC standings. Conboy contributed 29 points and nine rebounds in Monday's last-second victory over St. Mary's and in Wednesday's last-second win over the Tommies went 12-for-16 from the field while finishing with 28 points and seven boards. Conboy has scored 27 or more points in five of his team's seven games, including four in a row, and has boosted his career scoring total to 1,510 to become the program's fourth 1,500-point career scorer. Over the past four games, Conboy is averaging 29.5 points and 9.8 rebounds while shooting 63% from the field.
