Macalester College Athletics

Angie Horner (So., Bismarck, N.D. / Century) went a perfect 5-0 at No. 1 singles to lead the way for Macalester over Spring Break at Hilton Head, South Carolina. Horner and the Scots went 4-1 on the week, beating Westminster (Pa.), Grove City, St. Michael’s and Centre, and dropping a narrow 5-4 decision to Allegheny. Horner took all her matches in straight sets and out-scored her opponents 61-13 in games won. Horner and doubles partner Stephanie Lee also went 5-0 at No. 1 doubles. Horner is 9-1 on the season in both singles and doubles play.
