Crystal Barriga (So., Broomfield, Colo. / Legacy) helped the Scots get the season off to a good start as Macalester swept Bethany Lutheran 8-0 and 9-4 at the Rosemount Dome. An honorable mention all-conference selection as a frosh, Barriga belted two home runs and also had a pair of doubles on the day. She hit a pair of homers and a double in the first game and then went 2-for-4 with a sacrifice fly in game two. Barriga was 5-for-7 on the day with six RBI.
