Sprinter Emily Matthews (So., Fort Collins, Colo.) turned in the team’s highest individual finish when she placed fourth in the 55-meter dash finals at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) indoor track and field championships in Collegeville. Matthews placed second in her heat with a 7.57 time and sprinted to a 7.51 mark in the finals to take fourth – just missing all-conference status by one position. She also ran key legs on Macalester’s fourth-place distance medley relay and fourth-place 2x200-meter relay.
