All-conference outside hitter Laura Avena (Sr., Cesis, Latvia / Riga State Gymnasium #1) led the Scots to a 1-2 MIAC week, averaging 4.55 kills per set and hitting .304 in matches with St. Mary's, Bethel and Gustavus. Avena had 22 kill against both SMU and Gustavus . . . also contributed 32 digs and five blocks in the three matches.
