Karla Leon (So., Quito, Ecuador / Colegio Menor SFQ) and Jordan Matheson (Jr., Vancouver, B.C. / Nichols School) continued their march towards an invitation into next springs national championships when they placed seventh and nint, respectively, out of 124 golfers Sept. 15-16 at the highly-competitive Illinois Wesleyan Fall Classic in Normal, Illinois. Leon and Matheson led the Scots to an 11th -place team finish.

Leon (left) finished with a two-day score of 155 on rounds of 79 and 76. An All-America performer as a frosh, Leon was third among all NCAA Division III players in this field featuring four of the nation's top-11 ranked teams. Matheson (right), who was fourth among D3 golfers, posted a pair of 78 scores for a two-round mark of 156, just one behind Leon. This is the fifth time Matheson has been named MIAC athlete of the Week and the fourth time for Leon.
