Macalester College Athletics

Sam Marshall (Sr., Sun Prairie, Wis.) helped guide the Scots to a 2-1 record last week by averaging 16.7 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, helping Macalester get off to its best start since 2001-02.  He shot 63% from the floor (15-for-24) and 77% from the foul line (20-for-26).  Marshall had 13 points and six boards in a loss to Northwestern-Roseville to start the week.  Over Thanksgiving weekend, he had 14 points and seven boards in a win over Occidental, as well as 23 points and nine rebounds in a victory over Caltech.  His 23 at Caltech is one short of a career high.
