Lefty CJ Smith (So., Ashland, Wis.) chalked up his straight shutout in game one of Macalester MIAC baseball sweep Wednesday (April 4) over Gustavus Adolphus, blanking the Gusties on two hits while striking out eight. The Scots scored four times in the second frame and Smith carried the load from there. In his previous start against Northwestern-Roseville, Smith tossed a four-hit shutout.
