The Macalester Co-Athletes of the Week are twin sisters Shannon Rene (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Memorial) and Jessica Rene (Jr., Eau Claire, Wis. / Memorial).
Shannon Rene knocked down 9-of-21 attempts from beyond the three-point arc and finished with 34 points as the Scots went 2-1 last week. She was a season-best 5-for-7 on three-pointers in a hard-fought defeat to Concordia-Moorhead, and then scored 16 points to go along with five rebounds, two assists and two steals in a 62-52 victory at St. Olaf. Rene is ranked second in the MIAC with 1.94 three-pointers per game and seventh with 3.4 assists per game.
