A week after breaking an 18-year-old school record in the 5K, Erin Lowrey (Sr., Whitefish Bay, Wis.) led the entire way to win the mile run at Macalester’s Pre-MIAC Meeting at the Leonard Center Field House. Lowrey was followed closely by a challenger from Bethel most of the way, then opened up a lead and held on to win the mile with a mark of 5:25.34. That time moves her up to No. 5 on Mac’s all-time honor role for the indoor mile. A six-time Mac Athlete of the Week, Lowrey leads the Scots into the March 5-6 MIAC Indoor Championships.
