Grace Fleming (So., Northampton, Mass.) led the way for Macalester at the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) championships (Feb.20-22) at the University of Minnesota by reaching the finals in three events. On Thursday, Fleming placed fourth in the 500-yard freestyle finals with a 5:09.84 clocking. She finished fifth on Friday in the 200 freestyle with a mark of 1:56.67. Fleming then closed out her meet by placing fourth Saturday in the 1650-yard freestyle, swimming a 17:54.82 time to become the third Scot ever to break the 18-minute barrier.
