Emily Matthews (Sr., Fort Collins, Colo. / Rocky Mountain) is the Macalester athlete of the week after leading the way for the women’s track & field team Saturday (Feb. 6) at the Bethel Open in Arden Hills. Matthews backed up a good showing in the sprints a week earlier at UW-Stout by placing third out of 25 entrants in the 200-meter dash with a 26.91 mark and adding a fourth place finish in the 400 dash with a 60.65 clocking.
