After winning the Blugold Invitational in his previous race, Wade Ekstrom (Sr., La Crescent, Minn.) turned in another big effort, placing 10th overall out of 462 runners at the Wisconsin-La Crosse Jim Drews Invitational. Ekstrom was fifth among Division III runners and first among MIAC harriers, finishing the 8-kilometer race with a personal-best 25:00.6 clocking and moving up to the No. 2 spot on Macalester’s all-time performance list.
