ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's track and field team closed out the regular season at the Meet of the Unsaintly hosted by Hamline University. It was the final chance to put up qualifying marks for the MIAC Championship meet, and for those not continuing on to cap their season in high fashion.
The Scots got off to a winning start with the 4x100 meter relay. Senior
Kara Komoto (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake), first year
Maya Michon (Walnut Creek, Calif./Acalanes), senior
Anik Regan (Tucson, Ariz./University) and junior
Hannah Sonsalla (Stoughton, Wis./Stoughton) crossed the line in a season-best 48.80. In the 200, Sonsalla placed second in 25.85 and Regan was 14th in 27.40. Komoto was sixth overall in the 100 meter dash clocking 12.96.
Senior
Meghan Klapper (Sudbury, Mass./Lincoln-Sudbury) won the high jump clearing a personal best 1.61 meters (5-03.25). Regan finished 10th in the pole vault clearing 1.98 meters (9-09.25). Senior
Lynn Zemaitis (Gurnee, Ill./Carmel) placed 10th in the hammer throw with a massive personal best of 40.87 meters (134-01).
Sophomore
Gabby Ivy (St. Louis, Mo./John Burroughs) notched a personal best in the 400 meter hurdles. She crossed the line in 1:08.44 to take fourth.
Senior
Eliza Ramsey (Olympia, Wash./Capital) finished third in the 1500 in a personal best 4:47.32. In the 800, Scots place sixth, eighth and tenth. Senior
Natalie Prescott (Roscoe, Ill./Hononegah) led the way in 2:19.00, then came sophomore
Holly Ellingson (Boise, Idaho/Mountain View) in 2:20.62, with senior
Allison Pillar (Chicago, Ill./Whitney M. Young) rounding out in 2:23.32.
Sophomore
Amy Pelz (Seattle, Wash./Roosevelt) was sixth in the 3000 meter steeplechase in personal best time of 12:18.05. First year
Emma Maxtutis (Arlington, Mass./Arlington) crossed with in 12:25.26. In the 5000 meter run there were two top five finishes, with sophomore
Marlee Yost-Wolff (Lawrence, Kan./Lawrence Free State) earning third in 20:21.76 and first year
Anya Wolterman (Madison, Wis. / Monona Grove) taking fifth in 21:08.10.
In the triple jump which was contested Friday afternoon, junior
Halla Dontje Lindell (St. Peter, Minn./Saint Peter) placed third with a jump of 10.20 meters (33-05.75) with teammate senior
Sarah Silbert (St. Louis Park, Minn./St. Louis Park) finishing fourth in 10.07 meters (33-00.50).

The conference championships will open Friday, May 12 at Hamline with the second session following Saturday afternoon. Each event takes a specified number of participants based upon entrants submitted in the coming days.
