ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College throwers were in action Wednesday night at the BearCat Invite hosted by Concordia St. Paul. The meet was one of the final regular season competitions for the Scots as they tune up for the MIAC Championships May 12 and 13 held this year at Hamline University.
Junior
Sean Hayes (Buckley, Wash./White River) was the winner of the javelin with a mark of 51.12 meters (167-08), while sophomore
David McNichols (New London, Wis./Shiocton) was 10th in the hammer with a throw of 46.62 meters (152-11). Both athletes are slated to compete at the conference championships with Hayes currently ranked second overall in the MIAC.
The Scots have their final regular season competition Saturday, May 6 at Hamline's Meet of the Unsaintly.
