COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team was in action at the College of Saint Benedict-Saint John's University Invitational Saturday in Collegeville, Minn. The meet featured 12 teams and the Scots placed eighth overall with 20 points, despite competing with a pared down squad.
Junior
Jack Schultenover (Glenwood, Minn./Minnewaska Secondary) won the 100 meter dash crossing the line in a time of 11.41. Senior
Tre Nowaczynski (Hales Corners, Wis./West Allis Central) was sixth in the 200 running 23.51. Nowaczynski was also seventh in the long jump with a leap of 6.13 meters (20-1.5).
In the 400 meter dash, junior
Brian Eisner (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) and freshman
Eddy Reyes Herrera (Sonoma, Calif./Sonoma Valley) placed 11th and 12th, respectively, in times of 52.09 and 52.55.

Sean Hayes (Buckley, Wash. / White River) threw 52.18 meters (171-2) to take third in the javelin. In the pole vault, sophomore
George Howe (St. Louis, MO / St. Louis University High) was 10th, clearing 3.65 meters (11-11.75).
The whole team will be back competing Thursday, April 13 at the Tom Cat Invite hosted by Hamline.
