ST. PAUL, Minn. – Macalester's senior outside hitter
Clara Baumann (Wausau, Wis./Wausau East) was named to the MIAC Volleyball All-Conference Team, as the league announced its year-end awards this week. Baumann led the Scots in both digs and kills this season. This is the second all-conference honor of her career.
Baumann tallied 345 kills this season and was second in the MIAC. She finished her career fifth on Macalester's all time hitter list with 1,097 kills. Baumann also
Baumann
led the Scots in defense this year with 378 digs. She is now fourth in Macalester history with 1,257 career digs and is only the second player to record both
over 1,000 career digs and kills.
Baumann was also named all-conference as a sophomore in 2016.

Deborah Pickford (Denver, Colo./East) was Macalester's representative on the MIAC All-Sportsmanship Team.
Nora Holtan of Gustavus was named the MIAC Player of the Year, while Thanh Pham of St. Thomas received Coach of the Year honors. Gustavus's Brittany Luethmers and Augsburg's Macey Terhell were chosen as the league's Co-Defensive Players of the Year, with Kate Holtan of Gustavus earning the
conference's top
Pickford
rookie award.
