NORTHFIELD, MN- The Macalester men's cross country team placed 18th in a field of 31 teams today at the central region championships held at Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota.
 
Mark Fairley of Central College was the overall winner in a time of 24:52. Loras took the team title with 53 points.
 
Junior Chris Boranian (Oakland, CA / Head-Royce School) led the scots with a 48th place finish in 26:14. Following Boranian were juniors Spencer Grant (Portland, OR / Jesuit) and Mac Doherty (Madison, WI / East) in 26:58 (100th) and 27:19 (112th), respectively.
 
Sophomore Peter Jarka-Sellers (Philadelphia, PA / Germantown Friends School) and first year Adrian Johnson (Laramie, WY / Laramie) rounded out the scoring for the scots, finishing in 27:25 (116th) and 27:30 (121st), respectively.
 
Sophomore Edwin Reyes Herrera (Sonoma, CA / Sonoma) displaced for the scots, finishing in 27:42 (131st).
