ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's track and field team participated in the Tommie Twilight, held at the University of St. Thomas Wednesday night. No team scores were kept.
In the field events, junior
Audrey Seligman (Chappaqua, N.Y./Horace Greeley) and sophomore
Anik Regan (Tucson, Ariz./University) both broke Regan's school record in the pole vault, clearing 2.97 meters (9-9). Regan set the old mark of 2.95 meters at the Carleton Relays on Apr. 23. Senior
Risa Luther (Portland, Ore./Franklin) participated in a hammer throw invitational and set a personal best with a toss of 44.23 meters (145-1), which ranks second all-time at Macalester. Also setting a personal record was sophomore
Clara Baumann (Wausau, Wis./Wausau), who threw the javelin 36.65 meters (120-3) to take sixth.
On the track, junior
Kara Komoto (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) placed second in the 100 meter finals with a time of 12.68 seconds, her best time this season. Regan finished ninth in the 200 meters in 27.28 seconds, while senior
Sarah Jonathan (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) won her heat of the 1500 and placed 12th overall with a time of 4:43.62.
