ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team hosted the Bolstorff Twilight Meet at a rainy Macalester Stadium Thursday night. The Scots finished fifth out of 16 teams in the team standings.
Sophomore
Jack Schultenover (Glenwood, Minn./Minnewaska Secondary) won the 100 meters with a time of 11.29 seconds. He also placed second in the 200 in 22.91. Also in the sprints, junior
Aidan Hennen (St. Paul, Minn./Cretin-Derham Hall) finished sixth in the 100 with a time of 11.79. The Scots' 4x100 meter relay team turned in a third-place finish in 44.55 seconds, while the 4x400 meter relay team was fifth in 3:33.31. Sophomore
Brian Eisner (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) posted a time of 59.37 in the 400 meter hurdles to take sixth.
In the field events, senior
Logan Hovie (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) took second in the high jump with a mark of 1.99 meters (6-6.25). Sophomore
Sean Hayes (Buckley, Wash./White River) finished in second place in the javelin with a season-best throw of 51.29 meters (168-3.25). Also registering a season best was senior
Zach Hauser (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington), who placed fourth in the discus with a toss of 43.60 meters (143-0.25).
Next up for Macalester is the Hamline Meet of the Unsaintly on May 5-6 in St. Paul, Minn.
