ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team participated in the Tom Cat Meet Thursday night at the University of St. Thomas. No team scores were kept.
Senior
Zach Hauser (Port Washington, Wis./Port Washington) provided the highlight in the field events with a first-place finish in the discus throw with a toss of 40.44 meters (132-8). Sophomore
Miles Keys McKay (Santa Cruz, Calif./Santa Cruz) was second in the triple jump with a mark of 12.62 (41-5), while sophomore
Sean Hayes (Buckley, Wash./White River) placed fifth in the javelin with a throw of 47.93 (157-3).
On the track, sophomore
Jack Schultenover (Glenwood, Minn./Minnewaska Secondary) was third in the 200 meters with a time of 22.94 seconds. Sophomore
Brian Eisner (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) took fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a season-best time of 57.89 seconds, while first year
Chris Boranian (Oakland, Calif./Head Royce) finished fifth in the 1500 meters in 4:09.05.
Macalester competes at the Concordia-St. Paul Invitational on Saturday, Apr. 16.
