NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College women's track and field team competed in the first full day of the MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday at Carleton College. The Scots registered team points in four events.
Senior
Sarah Jonathan (Guilford, Conn./Guilford) finished in seventh place in the 5000 meters with a time of 18:27.45. In the 55 meter dash, senior
Hannah Pollard-Garber (Rockville, Md./Thomas Sprigg-Wootton) and junior
Kara Komoto (Rice Lake, Wis./Rice Lake) both made the finals and placed seventh and eighth, respectively. Junior
Brooke Hunter (Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater) also made the finals in the 55 meter hurdles, taking seventh. Senior
Risa Luther (Portland, Ore./Franklin) achieved a personal best in the weight throw with a toss of 13.52 meters (44-4 1/4) to finish seventh.
The MIAC Indoor Track & Field Championships conclude on Saturday, Mar. 5, with the first events starting at 11:45 a.m. at Carleton.
