COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team competed at the Saint John's Alumni Triangular Saturday afternoon at the Donald McNeely Spectrum. No team scores were kept.
The highlight of the meet for the Scots came from sophomore
Nolan Ebner (Chevy Chase, Md./Bethesda Chevy Chase), who won the 800 meters with a new school-record time of 1:57.23. Ebner broke the old record of 1:57.39, set by Tom Swanson in 1990.
Other solid performances were turned in by senior
Anders Voss (Duluth, Minn./Proctor), who was second in the 60 meter hurdles, sophomore
Jack Schultenover (Glenwood, Minn./Minnewaska), who was third in the 60 meters, and first year
Chris Boranian (Oakland, Calif./Head Royce), who followed Ebner in the 800 in third place. Sophomore
Brian Eisner (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) was third in the 400, sophomore
Nate Merrill (Durham, N.C./Cedar Ridge) placed third in the 3000 meters, and sophomore
Miles Keys McKay (Santa Cruz, Calif./Santa Cruz) took third in the triple jump.
Macalester participates in the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Invitational on Friday, Feb. 19.
