RIVER FALLS, Wis. – The Macalester College men's track and field team participated in the Falcon Winter Classic, hosted by the UW-River Falls Saturday afternoon. The Scots totaled 23 points in the team standings.
Senior
Logan Hovie (Neenah, Wis./Neenah) won the high jump by clearing 2.03 meters, which currently ranks 14th on the Division III national performance list. Sophomore
Miles Keys McKay (Santa Cruz, Calif./Santa Cruz) placed fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.38.
On the track, first years
Chris Boranian (Oakland, Calif./Head Royce) and
Mac Doherty (Madison, Wis./Madison East) were fifth and sixth, respectively in the mile. Sophomore
Brian Eisner (Portland, Ore./Oregon Episcopal) earned a point with an eight-place finish in the 400 meters. Baranian, senior
Alec Shub (New Haven, Conn./Wilbur Cross), junior
Peace Madimutsa (Harare, Zimbabwe/United World College) and first year
Garrett Goodstein (Glenwood Springs, Colo./Glenwood Springs) combined to finish eighth in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:40.25.
Macalester hosts the Hamster Invitational against Hamline University on Friday, Feb. 5 in the Leonard Center Fieldhouse.
