NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College men's cross country team competed against 20 teams at the St. Olaf Invitational today, finishing in 12th place led by Lachlan Hinwood who came in 39th overall.

Lachlan Hinwood led the way for Macalester with his 39th place finish. Hinwood ran the 8k-course in 26:49.3.
 
First year runners, Spencer Grant (27:57.7), Mac Doherty (27:59.4) and Chris Boranian (28:08.5) were the two, three and four runners for the Scots today. Senior Alex Ropes rounded out the top five, running a 28:22.0.
 
St. Olaf College was the overall team winner and the Ole's Jake Campbell was the meet winner, finishing in 25:20.2.
 
The Scots will return to action on Sept. 26 as they compete in the University of Minnesota Griak Invitational.
