ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College women's cross country team opened up the 2015 season on the campus of St. Catherine University as they paired up against St. Olaf College in a time trial. Junior standout
Kimber Meyer (Naperville, Ill./North) was the overall meet winner. The Scots fell 33 to 22 in team scores.
Meyer finished the 4,000-meter course in 14 minutes, 56 seconds. The Oles grabbed the second through fifth place finishes, but were followed up by
Elena Torry-Schrag (Forest Grove, Ore./Forest Grove) and
Eliza Ramsey (Olympia, Wash./Capital) who came in sixth and seventh with times of 16:00 and 16:03.
Elena Smith (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial) and
Lea Davidson (Walla Walla, Wash./ Walla Walla) rounded out the top five for the Scots. Smith finished ninth overall (16:13) and Davidson in tenth (16:25).

Macalester women's cross country team will return to action on Sept. 12 as they travel to Decorah, Iowa to compete in the Luther College All-American set to begin at 11:30 a.m.
