MENDOTA HEIGHTS, Minn. -- The Macalester College athletics department celebrated the 26th annual Mac Hac fundraiser as 145 people in 36 teams came out to support student-athletes on Monday, June 1, at the Mendakota Country Club in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. The 18-hole scramble and silent auction serves as a fundraiser to benefit all Macalester athletic student-athletes – a tradition that began in 1990 at the hands of former M Club Hall of Fame Coach John Leaney. 

The day of golf was capped off with an annual banquet that celebrated the success of Macalester athletics in 2014-15, welcomed new staff, and honored the contributions of Laurie Hamre, the Macalester Director of Student Affairs who will retire this month.

Championship flight winners from today's golf outing were Ryan Wenkus, Evan Wenkus, Matt Lawin and Phil Mahal. They matched the score from a year ago with 58 to be crowned the overall 2015 champions, by winning a scorecard tiebreaker.

The Blue Flight winners were Todd George, Terry Torson, Joe Naughton and Mike Lovick. The team shot a 60 to win the flight.

This year's Orange Flight championship team was made up of Aaron Hass, Dave Ring, Mike Kasner and Tony Jennison. The team shot a 65 to take first in their flight.
