ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team wrapped up action at the 2015 MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships held at Macalester Stadium Saturday evening. The Scots finished the meet with a few standout performances including second and third place finishes by
Konnor Fleming and
Bolton Howes, respectively in the javelin and a PR in the 4x400-meter relay.

Macalester finished with 31 team points for a 9th place finish at the Outdoor Championships.
The University of St. Thomas won their fourth straight MIAC title on Saturday as they collected 164.5 team points.
Senior
Joe Giamberdino started out Saturday action as he participated in the first running event of the day, the 3000-meter steeplechase. Giamberdino finished in fifth place to earn All-MIAC honors with a time of 9:45.99 to score four team points for the Scots.
In field event action,
Bolton Howes and
Konnor Fleming carried over their success from regular season competition. Fleming finished in second place with a throw of 53.84-meters. Howes finished in third place, throwing 53.06-meters to each earn All-MIAC status and score a collective 14 points for Macalester.
The Macalester 4x400-meter team made up of
Jole Miller,
Tayeb Zaidi,
Logan Hovie and
Tre Nowaczynski posted a seventh place finish with a season-best time of 3:21.47 to score two final points for the Scots.
A year ago, Macalester finished in 10th place with 28.5 team points at the Outdoor Championships. They move up one spot this season.
Logan Hovie was the lone conference champion for the Scots, winning the high jump in Friday action with a Macalester school record jump of 2.10-meters.
