CANTON, N.Y. -- Junior,
Logan Hovie competed at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Championships hosted by St. Lawrence University this afternoon. Hovie tied for a fourth place finish in the event, jumping 2.05-meters without any misses and went out at 2.08-meters to earn All-American status.

Robert Starnes from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater was the overall high jump champion. Starnes cleared a final jump of 2.14-meters.
Hovie is coming off a record-breaking season. He jumped a Macalester and personal best, 2.10-meters at the 2015 MIAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships. He broke the previous outdoor high jump record of 2.08-meters that was set in 1976 by Scott Davis to earn his fourth overall conference title. Hovie competed in the 2014 NCAA Outdoor Championships and finished in 11th place.
