ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team hosted their first outdoor meet of the season on Thursday evening. The 2015 Bolstorff Twilight Meet welcomed 16 teams ranging from division III to division I. The Scots finished the night with 68 total team points, finishing fourth overall. They posted a few notable performances on the night.

Senior
Joe Giamberdino started the meet off strong, running to a second place finish in the first running event of the meet, the 3000-meter steeplechase. Giamberdino finished in 9:30.57 to now hold the top spot on the MIAC Honor Roll. Sophomre teammate
Lachlan Hinwood finished in fourth in the event.
Sophomore
Tre Nowaczynski finished in third place in the 200-meter dash. Nowaczynski timed in at 22.71 seconds.
Miles Keys McKay grabbed another top-three finish in the triple jump. Keys McKay jumped 12.55-meters to place third in the event.
Logan Hovie finished in fourth place in the high jump. Hovie jumped 1.98-meters, falling to competitors from the University of Minnesota and Concordia-St. Paul.
The javelin duo of
Bolton Howes and
Konnor Fleming were at it again, placing first and second respectively to collect 18 team points for the Scots. Howes threw a season-best 56.79-meters to win the event, while Fleming scored a 52.83-meters throw to place second.
The Scots 4x400-meter relay team finished the meet with an exciting race, finishing with a second place finish behind Minnesota Duluth. The relay, made up of

Tre Nowaczynski ran a 3:23.21, which currently ranks third on the MIAC Honor Roll.
Macalester men's track and field will return to action on May 1 and 2 as they compete in Hamline's Meet of the Unsaintly.
