NORTHFIELD, Minn. – The Macalester College men's track and field team traveled to Northfield, Minn. Saturday to compete in the Carleton Relays. The Scots made solid improvements and came away with one top finisher in Joe Giamberdino who won the 5000-meter run. Team scores were not provided.

Jack Schultenover posted a seventh place finish in the 100-meter dash, recording a time of 11.211, the eighth best time in the MIAC this season.
 
Joe Giamberdino won the 5000-meter run, posting a 15:14.14 time. Giamberdino completed the race over 13 seconds ahead of the second place finisher and recorded the ninth best MIAC time in the 5000 this season.
 
Konnor Fleming grabbed a seventh place mark in the javelin throw, throwing 49.73-meters, up 1.6 meters from his performance at the Tom Cat Invite on Thursday.
 
In high jump action, Logan Hovie took third place, jumping 6-8 (2.03-meters).
 
Macalester men's track and field will return to action on Thursday, April 23 as they host the Bolstorff Twilight Meet scheduled to start at 5 p.m. at the Macalester Stadium.
