MOORHEAD, Minn. --Â Hannah Sonsalla and
Emily Diener finished third and fourth, respectively, in the 400-meter dash to pace Macalester on the second day of the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Championships.
Both Sonsalla and Diener won their heats. Sonsalla recorded a season-best time of one minute, 0.61 seconds for her third-place finish while Diener ran a 1:00.85. The duo combined for 11 of the Scots 17 points on the day in the event.
Irene Gibson scored four points by finishing fifth in the 800-meter run, winning her heat in a time of 2:20.83.
The Scots got two points from their distance medley relay team of
Ingrid Greene,
Erin Ortiz,
Carmen Garson-Shumway and
Lorna Sherwood Caballero. The quartet turned in a time of 13:06.78.
The final day of competition gets underway, Saturday, at Concordia's Olson forum beginning with field events at 10:15 a.m.
