MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- Macalester sent six student-athletes to compete in the University of Minnesota Snowshoe Open Friday.
Among the group,
Joe Giamberdino used the meet to lower his season-best time in the mile run to 4:20.17, which was good for sixth place in a field of 23 runners. The time also ranks seventh in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference this season.
Trevor Maggart and
Lachlan Hinwood also competed in the mile, finishing 13th and 14th, respectively, with Maggart clocking a time of 4:34.06 while Hinwood came in at 4:34.98.
In another field of 23 runners,
Nolan Ebner lowered his season-best time in the 800-meter run to 1:59.02, placing 16th. His time ranks 10th in the MIAC this season.
Dylan Saul placed 20th in the 3000-meter run in 9:11.50.
Logan Hovie was the lone field event performer at the meet for the Scots. He placed fourth after clearing 1.97m (6-6 1/4), his second-best performance of the season.
The Scots will comete at St. Olaf's Tostrud Open, Saturday, in Northfield, Minn., with field events set to get underway at 11 a.m.
