COLLEGEVILLE, Minn. -- Macalester's 4x400-meter relay team posted a victory as the Scots finished third in the Saint John's Alumni Triangular at the McNeely Spectrum.
St. John's won the meet with 155 points while Concordia-Moorhead was second with 121 points and the Scots were third with 90 points.
Macalester won the 4x400 relay at the meet for the second consecutive year. The team of

Jole Miller,
Nolan Ebner and
Tayeb Zaidi cruised to a winning time of three minutes, 36.06 seconds.
The Scots had several top-three individual performances on the day, led by a two-three finish in the 3,000-meter run by Dylan Saul and Trevor Maggart. Saul was second in 9:03.53 while Maggart placed third in 9:08.77.
Macalester had three other second-place finishes. Jack Schultenover was second in the 60-meter dash in 7.20, Ebner was second in the 800-meter run in 1:59.14 and Miles Keys McKay took second in the triple jump with an effort of 12.42m (40-9).
Putting in third-place performances were Miller in the 400-meter dash (53.48) and Lachlan Hinwood in the mile run (4:37.3).The Scots are back in action with a pair of meets on the schedule. Friday, they will take part in the University of Minnesota's Snowshoe Open, which gets underway at 5 p.m. Saturday, they will travel to Northfield, Minn., to take part in St. Olaf's Tostrud Open, which gets underway at 11 a.m.
