ST. BONIFACIUS, Minn. -- The Macalester College men's cross country team competed against nine teams at the St. Bonifacius Invite this morning, finishing in second place overall.
Lachlan Hinwood who was the overall meet winner led the Scots.
Hinwood ran the 8k-course in 26:19.0. He finished ahead of second place finisher, Darian Schnose, by 31 seconds. Macalester took second place in the team results (scoring 60 points) behind the University of St. Thomas (25). Macalester defeated Martin Luther, Carleton, Waldorf, Concordia-Moorhead, Northwestern, Minnesota-Morris and Crown.

Senior,
Alex Ropes was the second finisher for the Mac Pack. Ropes ran the course in 27:25.0 and finished 10th overall.
Mac Doherty trailed him with a 20th overall finish, timing in at 27:49.0.
Nate Merrill and
Spencer Nelson rounded out the top five for the Scots today. Merrill finished in 23rd place (27:59) and Nelson in 28th (28:11.0).
The Scots will return to action on Oct. 31 as they compete in the 2015 MIAC Championships held at Como Park in St. Paul.
