Men's Cross Country: Macalester competes in St. Olaf Alumni Meet

NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- The Macalester men's cross country team had a rare invite to the St Olaf Alumni Meet this afternoon as Head Coach Matt Haugen joined his former teammates and athletes to celebrate the St Olaf Men's 2013 National Championship team.

Over 100 alumni participated in the 5K race, and the NCAA #1 ranked Oles beat Macalester by a score of 15-48.

Captain Joe Giamberdino (15:56) lead the MAC Pack with a 6th place finish, and was followed closely by sophomore Lachlan Hinwood (16:19), senior Mike Waltman (16:20), and Junior Trevor Maggart (16:25). Junior Alex Ropes (16:56) was MAC's 5th finisher.

Macalester returns to St Olaf for their next race on September 20th.
