NORTHFIELD, Minn. -- Sophomore
Mira Ensley-Field covered the 4,000-meter course at St. Olaf Cross Country Trails in 15 minutes, 51.2 seconds to place fifth and lead Macalester in the St. Olaf Time Trial.
St. Olaf claimed the top four spots, led by Jorden Johnson in 15:15.8. Ensley-Field finished in a group of four runners, all of whom finished within five seconds of each other.
Three of the remaining four scoring runners for the Scots' were first-year runners and included
Lorna Sherwood-Caballero, ninth in 16:02.0,
Carmen Garson-Shumway, 11th in 16:09.7, and
Lea Davidson, 15th in 16:32.2. Junior
Sarah Jonathan was 13th in 16:21.1.
The Scots are idle until Sept. 13, when they will take part in the Falcon Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin-River Falls at Kilkarney Hills Golf Course. The women's race gets underway at 10 a.m.
