Complete Bethel Open results

Macalester competed Saturday at the Bethel Gene Glader Classic at Bethel University in Arden Hills and came away with numerous top-notch performances.  Macalester picked up first-place finishes from Erin Ortiz (Jr., Corvallis, Ore. / Crescent Valley), Ingrid Greene (Jr., Madison, Wis. / Memorial) and Sarah Silbert (Fy., St. Louis Park, Minn.).  Ortiz won the 200-meter dash (26.99), Greene took top honors in the 1000-meter run (3:17.95) a d Silbert won the triple jump (9.85m).

Marta LeFevre-Levy (Sr., Wayland, Mass.) took second in the 600-meter dash, just ahead of third-place teammate Kelsey Coia (So., Arlington, Va. / Yorktown ) (1:43.13).  Irene Gibson (Jr., Carmel, Ind.) placed third in the 800 meters (2:28.01).  In the 1-mile run, Kimber Meyer (Fy., Naperville, Ill. / North) placed second (5:06.93) and Anna Schmitz (Sr., St. Paul, Minn. / Central) was third (5:20.43).

Brooke Hunter (Fy., Stillwater, Minn.) was the runner-up in the 60-meter hurdles (9.85).  Becky Kane took fourth in the 3000-meter run (11:11.14) and Sarah Jonathan (So., Guilford, Conn. ) was fourth (11:17.65).

Meghan Klapper (Fy., Sudbury, Mass. / Lincoln-Sudbury) took second in the high jump (1.57m).  Hunter was second behind Silbert in the triple jump (9.47m).

The Scots placed runner-up in the 4x400-meter relay (4:24.95) behind the efforts of LeFevre-Levy, Katherine Ehrenreich (Sr., Deerfield, Ill.), Greene and Gibson.

Macalester competes again next Saturday (Feb. 15) at the St. John's/St. Benedict Alumni Meet in Collegeville.
