Women’s Track & Field: Scots take second at CSB Triangular

Macalester gained six first-place finishes to take second at the St. Benedict Triangular at St. John's University in Collegeville.  St. Ben's won the meet with 150 ½ points, followed by Mac with 112 and St. Catherine with 54.5.

Hannah Pollard-Garber (So., Rockville, Md. / Thomas Sprigg-Wootton) helped lead the way in the sprints, winning the 200-meter dash (27.41).  Teammate Irene Gibson (Jr., Carmel, Ind.) won the 400 dash (61.04) over teammate Marta LeFevre-Levy (62.15).  The 600 dash was won by Daiga Kravale (Sr., Riga, Latvia / UWC of the Adriatic) (1:40.63).

Anna Schmitz (Sr., St. Paul, Minn. / Central) claimed the top spot in the 3000-meter run (10:29.30).  Brooke Hunter (Fy., Stillwater, Minn.) won the 60-meter hurdles (9:82).  The Scots also took first in the medley relay (12:57.79).

Meghan Klapper (Fy., Sudbury, Mass. / Lincoln-Sudbury) was second in the high jump (1.56m / 5-1 ¼) and Kimber Meyer (Fy., Naperville, Ill. / North) was second in the 1000 meters (3:02.13).

The Scots are at the University of Minnesota Parent's Day Open next Saturday (Feb. 22) in Minneapolis.
