An all-time record of 40 teams and 160 individuals golfed at Macalester's 24th annual Mac Hac Fundraiser Monday, June 3, at Mendakota Country Club in Mendota Heights. This yearly 18-hole scramble, which began in 1990, was once again a fun day and a big success.
The post-tournament banquet and silent auction raised very important and much-appreciated funds for the athletic department budget.
Repeating as Championship Flight winners were former Mac golfers were Zach Youmans '05, Wes McFarland '05, Kristy Horner '03 and Kramer Lawson '05. They defended their 2012 title with a score of 58, one stroke better than their winning effort a year ago.
Winning the Blue Flight with a 61 scorecard were Christian Koch '87, Mark Davis, Charley Howe '86 and Chuck Reisenberg. Orange Flight champs were Dustin Schweke, Mark Taschuk, Brad Coleman and Mark Dickinson '76 with a 65 score.
The Macalester Athletic Department wishes to thank everyone who participated in the Mac Hac, as well as the businesses which sponsored holes and donated prizes.
