Macalester vs. St. John's box score

Going for their third MIAC win in as many days, the Scots were denied the trifecta by St. John's 5-4 Sunday afternoon at the Fitness Evolution Center in Sartell.  St. John's claimed two of the three doubles matches to come out on top.

The Scots are now 7-7 overall and 2-4 in the MIAC.  St. John's is 5-10 overall, 5-3 in the conference.

In doubles play, the Scots won 9-8 (7-4) at No. 1 behind the efforts of Max Edwards (Sr., Rochester, Minn. / Mayo) and Brian Utz (Fy., Rochester, Minn. / Lourdes).

Mac singles winners were Stephen Tyndel (Sr., Toronto, Ont. / City Academy) at No. 2, Edwards at No. 3 and Max Soghikian (Jr., Piedmont, Calif.) at No. 4.

The Scots play host to St. Olaf Thursday (April 25) at 4:45 p.m.
