Regional Diving Meet
Macalester's Renee Jordan (Jr., Anchorage, Alaska / Steller Secondary School) won the 3-meter diving competition and placed third on the 1-meter board Friday and Saturday at the NCAA Central Region Diving Meet at Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Seventeen divers were invited to the regional championships.  The region is made up of schools from Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota, and includes several national powers.  On Friday, Jordan finished third on the 1-meter board with a 440.20 score.  She followed that up Saturday with a first-place performance in 3-meter diving, breaking another one of her Macalester records with a score of 485.60.  She also set the school 6-dive mark and Calvin College pool record on the 3-meter board.

Teammate Hunter Hedenberg (Fy., Newton, Mass. / North) was also invited to Grand Rapids after winning the MIAC championship on the 1-meter board.  Hedenberg finished 14th in 1-meter diving (386.90) and 15th in 3-meter diving (375.95).
